Project 1 reflection on the process as a whole:

This project was very helpful and the process went smoothly for the most part. It was very difficult to originally pick a topic to actually do the project on. I was torn between English and Environmental Science, but after much thought, I decided to explore Environmental Science. I chose this over English because the topic is one of my passions. The next thing that was difficult was getting in contact with a professor and students. I emailed a few professors and no one answered me for a couple of weeks, which caused me to ask Jesse for a professor suggestion. I was very relieved that Bethany answered almost immediately. I did not know a single student at UNE in the major, so I also was having a hard time finding students. Bethany thankfully got me in touch with Juliana, and Juliana got me in touch with Meghan. I was able to get all my interviews done just in time to turn in the PLT. Once I had my quotes, the writing of the PLT was very easy. The presentation was also relatively easy because I used my PLT as an outline for my Google Slides presentation. I really enjoyed listening to the other students present because it exposed me to other possible major choices if Environmental Science does not work out. Overall, I liked this project and it helped me to decide on a major to declare.
